The reference and subversion of archetypes has consistently played a part in Sebastian Bergne’s work, with a humorous twist never far behind. The past year has seen a return to the theme of dice with an ongoing exploration of dice, their markings, use and function. The Chelsea Arts Club hosts a cabinet exhibition of several new dice editions. Some functional, some less but all playful.

Accompanying them are a few passed works that trace the importance of the dice throughout his career. The Pencil Dice from 2008 and Spice Dice (Driade spa) from 1996. For more on the editions see here.
