In April 2021 we invited international designers and artists to contribute to Living in a Box – Collection of Artefacts. The object’s limit needed to be 10/10/10 cm – the size of a small cardboard box. The results would be exhibited first online, then in a real exhibition.
On March 20, 2022 – on a day when, at least in Germany, many pandemic protection measures were dropped, by coincidence on the ‘International Day of Happiness’ of the UN – we opened 22 boxes. The contents could hardly be more diverse. But what all the boxes have in common is that they contain real things. Things that comment or raise questions about our (thing) world of today, with respect for the past and with an eye on tomorrow.
